Axiom Mission 4 Gets Green Light: NASA Announces Rescheduled Launch Date

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): After dates being postponed, the wait is now coming to an end. The much-awaited Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4) is finally ready to take off. Indian Air Force's Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who is the pilot of this mission, will soon head towards space.

NASA announced a new date, Axiom Mission 4 with Shubhashu Shukla will be launched on this day : NASA, Axiom Space and SpaceX have confirmed that this mission will be launched to the International Space Station (ISS) on the morning of Wednesday, June 25. In a statement issued by NASA, it was told that the date of the mission has been postponed five times before, but now the flight has been given the green signal for the sixth time.

The Axiom-4 commercial mission is led by commander Peggy Whitson, with Shubhanshu Shukla as mission pilot and astronauts Tibor Kapu of Hungary and Slawoj Ujnański-Wisniewski of Poland as mission specialists.

This mission will be launched using SpaceX's Falcon-9 rocket. Earlier this mission was to be launched on May 29, but it was postponed several times due to technical problems. There were reports of leakage of liquid oxygen in the Falcon-9 rocket and also in the old Russian module of the ISS, due to which the launch had to be postponed repeatedly.

Shubhanshu Shukla will be among the few pilots from India who are going on a commercial space flight. This mission is considered very important in terms of scientific research and technical tests in space. This is the fourth private mission sent by Axiom Space, which can prove to be a milestone in the field of space tourism and research. Now the eyes of the whole country are fixed on this historic mission. This journey of Shubhanshu Shukla will take India's name to greater heights in the world of space exploration.
