Bomb Blast Rocks Jaffar Express in Balochistan, Six Coaches Derailed
Balochistan (The Uttam Hindu): The attacks on trains in Pakistan are not stopping. On Sunday, once again Jaffar Express came under the grip of a bomb blast in Mastung district of Balochistan. In this accident, six bogies of the train derailed. It is a matter of relief that there is no news of any casualty.
Bomb blast in Jaffar Express in Balochistan, Pakistan, 6 coaches of the train derailed: According to Pakistani news channel Dawn, the accident took place near Spazand station when about 350 passengers were travelling in Jaffar Express from Quetta to Peshawar. As soon as the train passed through this area, a loud explosion took place. A bomb was planted on the railway track in advance, which exploded as soon as the train passed. Due to the explosion, several coaches of the train derailed and there was panic among the passengers.
Railway official Mohammad Kashif said that as soon as the incident was reported, security forces and rescue teams reached the spot. After several hours of effort, all the bogies were brought back on track. After this, all the passengers were sent back to Quetta by another train. The passengers' tickets were canceled and the entire money was refunded.
After this accident, Pakistan Railways has cancelled Jaffar Express and Bolan Mail till August 14. It has been decided to run Bolan Mail from Karachi from August 16, which will reach Quetta the next day.
It is worth noting that this is the third attack on Jaffar Express in the last few weeks. Three days ago also there was an explosion on the track in Sibi area, but the train had already passed from there. On 24th July there was an explosion in Bolan Mail and on 28th July also Jaffar Express was derailed due to an explosion.
These continuous blasts have raised serious questions on Pakistan's railway security system. There is a constant threat to the lives of passengers.
