“Take off your crown, clown”: massive protests erupt against Donald Trump in US
Massive nationwide protests erupt in the US as millions rally against Donald Trump, raising slogans and expressing strong dissent.
Washington (The Uttam Hindu): The United States is witnessing massive public unrest as protests against President Donald Trump’s policies intensify across the country. While the ongoing conflict with Iran continues to create global tension, anger within the US has erupted, with millions taking to the streets demanding change. Demonstrations have spread across all 50 states, reflecting widespread dissatisfaction with the administration.
The protests, organized under the banner of the “No Kings” movement, are being described as one of the largest in US history. Organisers claim that nearly 9 million people have participated with over 3100 demonstrations held nationwide. Notably, the movement is not limited to major cities, as a significant number of rallies have taken place in small towns and rural areas, signaling deep rooted discontent.
Minnesota emerged as a key centre of the protests, where large gatherings were held in St Paul. Several prominent personalities, including artists and political figures joined the demonstrations, amplifying the movement’s reach. Protesters raised strong slogans and carried banners criticising government policies, drawing attention both nationally and internationally.
The protests are driven by multiple issues, including immigration policies, the conflict with Iran and concerns over social rights and economic inequality. Demonstrations have also been reported in global cities reflecting wider concern over US actions. Despite the scale of protests, the administration has dismissed them as politically motivated even as public anger continues to grow across the country.
