Donald trump claims iran’s supreme leader mojtaba khamenei may still be alive
Donald Trump said Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei may still be alive despite reports of severe injuries after the February 28 attack in Tehran
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has made a major statement regarding Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei. Trump said that Khamenei may still be alive, although he could have suffered serious injuries. His remarks came after reports in the US media claimed that during the attack on Tehran on February 28, Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed and Mojtaba Khamenei was seriously injured. The reports also suggested that he might be in a coma.
Speaking on Fox News Radio’s “The Brian Kilmeade Show,” Trump said, “I think he is probably alive. It’s possible that he was injured, but I believe he is still alive in some form.” This is the first public comment by Trump regarding Mojtaba Khamenei after he reportedly assumed the role of Iran’s Supreme Leader. Trump also indicated that the United States would not step back from the ongoing conflict involving Iran.
Conflicting claims after attack
Following the recent attacks, several claims have emerged regarding Mojtaba Khamenei’s condition. A report by the British newspaper The Sun stated that the 56-year-old leader was seriously injured in the attack and may have lost one of his legs. The report also suggested that he suffered severe injuries to his abdomen or liver.
Some reports have also claimed that several members of his family, including his wife, a sister and a niece, were killed in the attack. It was also alleged that his father and Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died in the incident. However, none of these claims have been officially confirmed so far.
