Washington (Uttam Hindu News): US President Donald Trump has said that he will send 'Patriot Air Defense System' to Ukraine. His government seems angry at Russian President Vladimir Putin's refusal to end the war with Ukraine.

The US President told reporters at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on Sunday, "We will send Patriots to Ukraine, which they desperately need. Putin has really surprised a lot of people. He talks nicely during the day and then bombs in the evening. I have a problem with this. I don't like it." Trump said that it has not been decided yet how many Patriot air defense systems to send to Ukraine. Trump said, "It has not been decided yet, but some will be sent to them because they need protection."

Donald Trump last week decided to sell weapons to NATO allies in Europe so that they can hand them over to Kiev. The US President says that these air defense systems will be part of NATO's weapons to be sent to Ukraine, for which NATO will pay the US. He said, "We are basically going to send them various units of very sophisticated military. They are going to pay us 100 percent for them." Donald Trump is going to meet NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte this week. During this meeting, plans to supply weapons to Kiev are expected to be discussed.

Mark Rutt's visit to Washington DC comes at a time when Trump has indicated that he is going to make a 'big statement' on Russia on Monday. Patriot (MIM-104) is a surface-to-air defense system to counter tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles and advanced aircraft, which is the US military's most advanced air defense system.
