Post-Putin Meeting, Trump Briefs NATO Leaders; Zelensky to Visit America
Washington (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump said that there has been "some progress" in his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and they have made "very good progress". After meeting Putin, Trump had a long phone conversation with NATO countries including Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
According to the White House, Trump has given all the information related to the meeting to Zelensky as well as European countries. Trump also spoke to European Union President Ursula von der Leyen over the phone. Von der Leyen's spokesperson has also confirmed Trump's phone call. Many big leaders of the world were included in this phone call of Trump. This list includes the names of NATO Secretary Mark Rutte, French President Emmanuel Macron, and top leaders of Germany, Finland, Poland, Italy and Britain. However, what did Trump talk to all the leaders during this time? Information about this has not been revealed. Trump has clearly refused to talk to reporters. White House Press Secretary Caroline Levitt has confirmed the conversation between Zelensky and NATO leaders, but no one has clearly refused to react to it.
