New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu)- There is news of US Air Force's F-35 fighter jet crashing on Alaska runway. The pilot on the fighter jet tried to save the fighter plane without caring for himself till the last moment.

The fighter jet made every effort to fix the serious fault before it collapsed like a pack of cards and burst into a fireball. It spent 50 minutes on a mid-air conference call with engineers to fix the fault. When that failed, the pilot was forced to parachute out of the fighter jet. The jet then crashed on a runway in Alaska. The cause of the accident was ice formation in the jet's hydraulic system, which jammed the landing gear.

In fact, as soon as the flight took off, the pilot tried to retract the gear, but it got stuck on the left side. The attempt to lower the gear again also failed. The jet's sensor gave a false indication that the plane had landed, due to which the jet became uncontrollable. The pilot started a conference call with the engineers in the air and tried to fix the problem for about 50 minutes. During this, 'touch and go' landing was tried twice so that the jammed gear could be fixed, but both times it failed. Ultimately, due to the wrong signals from the sensor, the jet became completely uncontrollable, and the pilot had to jump with a parachute.

After the accident, the jet fell on the runway and started burning. In the viral video on social media, the jet was seen spinning and turning into a ball of fire. The Air Force investigation revealed that the hydraulic fluid of the jet's front and right landing gear contained one-third water, which froze in the cold of -18 degrees Celsius. This ice caused the gear to jam.
