8 Khalistani Gangsters Nabbed in Major FBI Crackdown in US; India’s Most Wanted Among Them
California(The Uttam Hindu): In a high-profile international crackdown, the FBI and local law enforcement in California arrested eight Indian-origin Khalistani gangsters on July 11 during coordinated raids in San Joaquin County. The joint operation, part of the FBI's “Summer Heat Initiative,” involved special units and SWAT teams from Stockton, Manteca, and Stanislaus County.
Among the arrested is Pavitra Singh alias Pavitra Batala, a most-wanted terrorist linked to Babbar Khalsa International, who has been under India’s radar for his involvement in cross-border terror plots with fugitive Lakhbir Singh Rode. The NIA and Punjab Police have both filed charges and issued a Red Corner Notice against him.
Others detained include Dilpreet Singh, Arshpreet Singh, Amritpal Singh, Vishal, Gurtaj Singh, Manpreet Randhawa, and Sarabjit Singh, all of whom face multiple criminal charges in India. Authorities recovered 5 Glock pistols, an assault rifle, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, multiple magazines, and $15,000 in cash from their hideouts.
Indian intelligence confirms that the group had entered the US illegally and were operating criminal and terror networks remotely from American soil. This bust is expected to impact the overseas activities of Khalistani extremists and gangsters like Goldy Brar, Anmol Bishnoi, and Rohit Godara, who remain at large.
This operation marks a significant milestone in the growing US-India counterterrorism cooperation, as America tightens its grip on transnational extremist networks.
