Kevin Hassett attacked the Indian government, saying that US-India trade talks have also become 'complicated' now and India is adopting an "obstinate" attitude in opening its market for American products. Hassett further said that if India does not bow down, I do not think President Trump is the one to bow down. The US on Wednesday doubled the duty on Indian goods to 50 percent, which is the highest for any country other than Brazil. This also includes an additional 25 percent duty on India's purchase of Russian crude oil.
