VIDEO: India’s voice echoed at UN, Jaishankar slams Pakistan as terror hub
New York(The Uttam Hindu): India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, addressing the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on Friday, launched his most scathing attack yet on Pakistan. He called Pakistan a "center of global terrorism," prompting thunderous applause throughout the General Assembly hall. Beginning his address with "Greetings from the people of India," he referred to the country as "Bharat" instead of "India."
Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar slammed Pakistan on the issue of terrorism, saying, "India has been facing the challenge of terrorism since independence, as its neighboring country has been a hub of global terrorism." He emphasized that for decades, major international terrorist attacks around the world have been linked to this one country.
