New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : Iran has reacted sharply to Donald Trump's warning. Iran has clearly stated that if the US or former President Donald Trump interferes in Iran's internal affairs, it will have serious and devastating consequences. A senior advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, issued a statement on Friday, saying that US interference could lead to massive chaos not only in Iran but in the entire region.

In fact, former US President Donald Trump issued a stern warning to the Iranian regime amid ongoing violent protests in Iran. Trump stated on his social media platform, "Truth Social," that if the Iranian government fires on or kills peaceful protesters, the US will not stand by and will be prepared to intervene.

People took to the streets, situation tense

People in Iran have taken to the streets against the bad economic conditions and rising inflation. On Thursday, these protests spread from the capital to several provinces. Clashes took place between security forces and protesters in various areas, in which at least seven people have been confirmed dead. These incidents indicate that the government may adopt a tough stance against the protesters, while the protesters are also not ready to back down.

The biggest mass movement after 2022

Although the pace of demonstrations has slowed down in the capital Tehran, the movement is becoming more violent in other cities and provinces. Two people died on Wednesday and five on Thursday in four different cities. These cities have a large population of the Lur ethnic community. According to experts, this movement is considered to be the biggest protest in Iran after 2022. In the year 2022, after the death of Mahsa Amini in police custody, there were large scale demonstrations across the country.

The situation is worst in Lorestan

The most intense violence over the economy was witnessed in the city of Ajna in Lorestan province. Videos circulating on social media clearly show arson, vandalism, and gunfire in the streets. According to the semi-official news agency Fars, at least three people were killed there. Other media outlets have also confirmed these incidents, citing Fars.
