Tehran (The Uttam Hindu): Amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, Iran’s top military command has made a strong and dramatic announcement, declaring that its armed forces will not retreat until achieving “complete victory.” The statement signals that the ongoing conflict will continue without compromise.

Spokesperson of the Khatam-al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, Major General Ali Abdollahi Alibadi, asserted that Iran’s powerful forces remain steadfast and determined to defend the country’s sovereignty. His aggressive remarks come at a time when the region is witnessing intensified attacks and rising instability.

Rejects Trump’s claims of peace talks

The statement came in response to US President Donald Trump’s recent claim that negotiations for peace were underway between Tehran and Washington. Iran has firmly denied any direct talks with the United States.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf dismissed Trump’s claims on social media, calling them false and alleging they were aimed at manipulating financial and oil markets. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed ongoing communication with regional countries including Egypt, Oman, Pakistan, Russia, and Turkey regarding the evolving situation.

‘Complete victory’ declaration raises global concern

In a televised address, General Alibadi emphasized that Iran’s forces would continue fighting until achieving full victory. Though he did not define what constitutes “complete victory,” defence experts view it as a direct warning to the United States and Israel that Iran will not bow to pressure or make concessions.

Iran also appears active on the diplomatic front, seeking international support while continuing military operations.

Escalation by Israel and fear across Gulf region

At the same time, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has maintained a hardline stance, stating that Israel will not halt its attacks on Iran and Lebanon, even if ceasefire discussions emerge.

Ground realities have become increasingly alarming. Iran has launched missile and drone attacks on Israel and neighbouring Gulf countries, while Israel has carried out heavy airstrikes on southern Beirut, resulting in casualties. The impact of the conflict is now spreading across Kuwait, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia, creating widespread fear across the region.
