‘No clear strategy’: Democrats question Trump’s Iran war plan
Democrats criticize Donald Trump over unclear goals and strategy in Iran war, raising concerns about its direction.
Washington (The Uttam Hindu): The ongoing conflict with Iran has intensified political tensions in the United States with Democratic leaders questioning the strategy of President Donald Trump. They have raised concerns over the rising cost of the war lack of clear objectives and the risk of it turning into a prolonged conflict without a defined end.
Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer criticized the administration saying the war has entered its fourth week with no clear direction. He described the government’s statements as inconsistent and warned that the conflict is already impacting the economy with a sharp rise in fuel prices across the country.
Other lawmakers including Greg Landsman and Peter Welch also expressed concern urging restraint and calling for greater transparency. They warned that deeper involvement could trap the US in a long war and place a heavy financial burden on citizens while stressing the need for a clear plan and accountability.
