Massive outpouring: 7 million protesters flood US streets in historic anti-Trump demonstrations

Beijing (The Uttam Hindu): Protests erupted in several US cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Washington and Chicago. Demonstrators opposed violent crackdowns on immigrants, the forced deployment of the National Guard into cities, and tariff increases. These are the largest demonstrations against President Trump.

Organizers say the number of protesters exceeds a million. More than one lakh people participated in the protest in New York. Local police said the protest was peaceful. The prices of goods are rising rapidly. The situation is very bad. 25 thousand people participated in the protest in San Diego, California.

They protested the US government's immigration, health, education, and trade policies. Organizers reported that millions of people across the US took part in peaceful protests in more than 2,700 cities and towns.

This is the third major protest during President Trump's tenure. Significantly, the US is currently under a shutdown, with many government services paralyzed. The Trump administration's assertive stance has led to increased conflict with Congress and the judiciary. Trump was at his Florida home, Mar-a-Lago, over the weekend.
