New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The process of arresting prisoners who escaped from jail under the guise of massive protests by Gen-G youth against corruption in Nepal continues. The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) has so far arrested 72 prisoners from the India-Nepal border. Among these, two prisoners have been arrested recently. However, the exact location of their arrest has not been revealed yet.

According to SSB officials, all these prisoners had escaped from jail during the deteriorating situation in Nepal and were trying to cross the Indo-Nepal border. Security forces caught them from the checkpoints deployed on the border. Officials say that the number of prisoners who have escaped from Nepal jails has so far exceeded 13 thousand, which can pose a serious challenge to India's security. SSB has tightened patrolling and surveillance on the Indo-Nepal border. Suspicious activities are being monitored and the local intelligence system has also been alerted.

Let us tell you, on September 4 the Nepali government banned social media in the country. In protest against this, Gen-Ji took to the streets and protested against this decision of the government. Apart from the ban on social media, the youth also protested against corruption. Due to this, many ministers including Nepal's Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had to resign from their posts. On the other hand, Gen-Ji youth say that our protest will continue until Nepal is free from corruption.

Meanwhile, due to the protests by the youth of Nepal, the situation there has become violent. In view of this, it has now become a topic of discussion on the global platform as well.

The Indian government also issued a statement keeping in mind the chaotic situation in Nepal and said that we are keeping a close eye on the situation there. We are ensuring that our Indian citizens living there do not face any kind of problem. Everyone should be safe there. Apart from this, the Ministry of External Affairs of India has appealed to the Indian citizens living there in its instructions that until the situation becomes normal everyone should stay in their homes.
