Tehran (The Uttam Hindu): Amid rising tensions in the Middle East, Iran has issued a major statement regarding diplomatic relations with the United States. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has clearly stated that negotiations with the United States are now "over forever."

In a video posted on the social media platform X, Araghchi accused the US of "betraying" the US by attacking despite assurances that it would not take military action. He said the move came despite positive progress during talks, eliminating any remaining diplomatic space between the two countries.

"We trusted their promises not to attack, but the US betrayed us. Now there is no possibility of dialogue," Araghchi said, describing the incident as a "very bitter experience" and saying it had completely destroyed mutual trust.

Meanwhile, the ongoing conflict in the Middle East has entered its fourth week, with the situation continuing to deteriorate. Reports indicate both sides are threatening to target each other's critical infrastructure, raising concerns about civilian safety and the global economy.

Iran has warned that if its energy installations are attacked, it could close the strategic Strait of Hormuz, a route considered crucial to global oil supplies.

At the same time, US President Donald Trump has also adopted a tough stance and warned of action against Iran's energy installations and said that if Tehran disrupts international sea routes, America will give a strong response.

Experts believe that the growing tension between the two countries and the closure of the doors to dialogue could further deepen the regional conflict, which is sure to impact the global energy market and security situation.
