"Won’t Abandon Nuclear Program": Iran Reasserts Missile Development Stance
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Israel and America attacked Iran with the aim of destroying its nuclear program. Iran's morale has not been dampened even after the attacks by Israel and America. Iran has once again made its stand clear regarding the nuclear program. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that despite the "serious" damage to nuclear installations after the US attacks last month, Iran has no plans to give up its nuclear program. Iran's uranium enrichment program will continue.
Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said that for the time being uranium enrichment has been stopped because nuclear sites have suffered heavy damage. He said that we cannot abandon the uranium enrichment program because it is the achievement of our own scientists. He called it the pride of his country and said to continue it.
Iran will continue to make missiles
Abbas Araghchi's statement comes at a time when Iran is set to soon hold talks with Germany, France and the United Kingdom in Istanbul on its nuclear program. Regarding talks with the US to reduce tensions, Araghchi said, "We are ready for talks but not directly at the moment." He said, "In exchange for the lifting of US sanctions, we are ready to prove that Iran's nuclear program is peaceful." Iran's foreign minister also said that his country would continue to develop and manufacture missiles.
