New York (The Uttam Hindu): Amid rising tensions between Iran, the United States, and Israel in the Middle East, a senior diplomat at the United Nations (UN) has resigned. Mohammad Safa, who resigned, leveled serious allegations against the global body, saying the UN was preparing for a potential nuclear attack in Iran and that he was prevented from expressing his views.

Mohammed Safa, who was the chief representative of the Patriotic Vision (PVA) organization at the United Nations, announced his resignation on the social media platform X. He shared a detailed letter, saying that he had made this decision after much deliberation.

Safa alleged that some senior UN officials were acting at the behest of an influential lobby and tried to suppress her voice. She said she was censored within the organization.

In her statement, Safa, referring to the situation in Iran's capital, Tehran, said the humanitarian consequences of potential military action were being ignored. She warned that if nuclear weapons were used, the entire world could suffer devastating consequences.

Safa also said that she risked her diplomatic career to highlight the issue, aiming to avert a potential nuclear winter that could lead to global devastation.

He also referred to the recent protests in the United States, saying that people should be aware of this danger and speak out for peace. He believed that only the activism of ordinary citizens can avert such a crisis.

Safa also claimed that she and her family received death threats and that the United Nations did not support her in this matter. She also alleged that some officials avoid accusing the US and Israel of violating international law. However, there has been no official response from the UN to these allegations.
