New US oil refinery after 50 years; Reliance Industries joins as partner.

Washington (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has said that India's Reliance Industries Group will be a partner in his country's first oil refinery to be built in fifty years, worth $300 billion. Trump shared this information on his social media page, Truth Social. He said, "Thank you to Reliance, our partner in India and their largest private energy company, for this tremendous investment."

"America is returning to true energy dominance," Trump said. "Today, I'm proud to announce that America First Refining is opening the first new American oil refinery in 50 years in Brownsville, Texas. This is a historic $300 billion deal—the largest in American history, a major victory for the American people, for energy, and for the people of South Texas."

He added: "It's because of our America First agenda, simplifying permits and lowering taxes, that billions of dollars in deals are coming back to our country." He said a new refinery at the Brownsville Port would boost the US market, strengthen its national security, increase American energy production, and have a trillion-dollar economic impact. He said the proposed refinery would be the cleanest in the world. Reliance Industries has yet to comment.
