Operation Sindoor: Dassault Aviation Spills Beans on Rafale Crash, Debunks Pakistan
New Delhi (Uttam Hindu News): Pakistan's claims of shooting down the Rafale fighter plane have been proved wrong. The French aircraft manufacturer Dassault Aviation and India's Defence Secretary have both completely rejected these claims. Both the statements have made it clear that no Rafale aircraft of India was destroyed in Pakistani action during Operation Sindoor.
In a statement to a French website 'Avion de Chasse', Eric Trappier, President and CEO of Rafale manufacturer Dassault Aviation, clarified that a Rafale jet had crashed due to a technical fault, it was not shot down. He said, "A Rafale jet had a technical fault at high altitude, due to which it crashed. No jet was shot down during the conflict."
At the same time, India's Defense Secretary RK Singh also termed the Pakistani claims as false in a TV interview. Talking to CNBC TV18, he said, "It is wrong to say that India's Rafale aircraft were shot down during Operation Sindoor. I can assure you that this is not true. On the contrary, Pakistan has suffered many times more loss of life and property." The Defense Secretary confirmed that more than 100 terrorists were killed in the Indian action.
It is worth noting that in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India had launched 'Operation Sindoor' on May 7, under which terrorist bases in Pakistan were targeted. Defense Secretary RK Singh also clarified that during this operation, the Indian armed forces were given complete freedom and there was no political pressure on them.
