Pakistan reacts sharply to Rajnath Singh’s remark calling Sindh part of India
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): A recent statement by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has once again escalated political tensions between India and Pakistan. Speaking at a Sindhi community event, Singh stated that while Sindh is not currently part of India, it has always been an integral part of India from a civilizational and cultural perspective, and that the possibility of it rejoining India in the future cannot be ruled out.
'This expansionist Hindutva thinking'…Pakistan is infuriated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's statement that 'Sindh is part of India…' : Pakistan has reacted strongly to this statement of Rajnath Singh. Pakistan's Foreign Ministry said that the statements of the Indian Defence Minister reflect "dangerous, provocative and expansionist thinking of Hindutva". In a statement issued by the Ministry, it was said that Pakistan strongly condemns these statements made by the Indian Minister regarding Sindh province.
Pakistan alleged that such statements threaten regional peace and violate international law, the integrity of recognized borders, and the sovereignty of nations. Pakistan also reminded India of issues related to the Northeast, saying India needs to focus on its internal affairs and not engage in rhetoric on the borders of neighboring countries.
