Three Crew Members of China’s Shenzhou-20 Spacecraft Safely Return to Earth
Beijing (The Uttam Hindu): At 4:40 PM Beijing time on 14 November, the return module of the Shenzhou-21 crewed spacecraft successfully landed, bringing back the three astronauts of the Shenzhou-20 mission Chen Dong, Chen Congjie, and Wang Jie safely to Earth. At 2:49 PM, the Beijing Aerospace Control Center issued the command to begin the return process.
The return module of the Shenzhou-20 spacecraft separated smoothly from the space station module. After separation, the engine was ignited as planned, and the module completed a successful landing. Medical teams at the site confirmed that all three astronauts were in good physical condition.
The Shenzhou-20 crew stayed aboard the Chinese space station for 204 days, setting a new record for the longest stay by Chinese astronauts. During their mission, they conducted four spacewalks and completed numerous scientific experiments.
