The President’s remarks are being linked to an intrusion attempt that took place two days earlier at his Mar-a-Lago resort. On Sunday night, a man attempted to enter Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago property. Security personnel shot the individual, and he died at the scene. The incident occurred at around 1:30 am local time.

The Secret Service, the agency responsible for the President’s security, stated that the man was trying to unlawfully enter a restricted area. He was reportedly carrying a shotgun and a fuel can. The deceased was 20 years old and a resident of North Carolina. His identity has not yet been made public. The matter is under investigation.

At the time of the incident, President Trump was present at the White House in Washington, DC. He usually spends his weekends at Mar-a-Lago.
