Trump Slams Harvard Again, Threatens to Cut Funding Over Jewish Student Harassment

Washington DC (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump's administration informed Harvard University that its investigation found the university violated federal civil rights law in its treatment of Jewish and Israeli students. The letter sent to Harvard President Alan Garber on Monday said that if substantial changes are not made immediately, all financial resources will be withheld and Harvard's relationship with the federal government will be impacted, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Speaking on this, US President Donald Trump said that he is trying to bring about changes in other universities of the country including Harvard, because in his view these universities have been taken over by leftist ideas and have become strongholds of anti-Semitism.

A federal task force has sent a letter to the president of Harvard University, accusing the university of failing to protect the rights of students during the war between Israel and Gaza. According to the federal task force, Harvard has in some cases deliberately participated in the harassment of Jewish students, faculty and staff. Jewish and Israeli students were harassed. They even had to hide their identities for fear of retaliation.
