New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning amid rising tensions in the Middle East. He said Israel will not target Iran’s South Pars gas field again unless Iran attacks Qatar. The statement comes as clashes between Iran and Israel intensify and strikes on energy facilities in the Gulf region continue. Trump said the earlier strike on South Pars caused only limited damage and was carried out in anger.

He also clarified that the United States had no prior knowledge of the attack and that Qatar had no involvement. Trump said Iran misunderstood the situation which led to its strike on Qatar’s LNG facilities, calling it unjustified. He warned that if Iran targets Qatar again, the US could launch a powerful attack on the South Pars gas field even without Israel’s involvement, though he added he hopes such action can be avoided.

Meanwhile, Qatar reported fresh missile attacks that damaged LNG facilities and triggered major fires. Emergency teams are working to control the situation and no casualties have been reported so far. Qatar remains a key global gas supplier and the damage may delay supply restoration. The situation escalated further after Israeli strikes on Iran’s South Pars field, followed by Iran targeting energy sites in Qatar and the UAE, raising serious concerns over global energy security.
