New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu) : US President Donald Trump often makes headlines for his statements. In his latest statement, the US president warned Canada that if it gets too close to China, it will swallow it up.

Donald Trump said on Friday that China will swallow Canada if Ottawa refuses to cooperate with Washington. Speaking on Truth Social, Trump said Canada opposes his planned Golden Dome missile defense system, inspired by Israel's Iron Dome.

Trump wrote, "Canada is against the Golden Dome being built over Greenland, even though the Golden Dome would protect Canada. Instead, Canada voted to trade with China, which will eat them up in a year!" The president said he wanted the Golden Dome to cover Greenland. The US president argued that control over the Arctic region would help the US counter the influence of Russia and China.

Earlier this week in Davos, Trump said that Canada should be grateful to the United States for its defense. Canada won because of the US. However, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney flatly denied that his country's success was due to its southern neighbor, the US. PM Carney said that the world order built on American dominance is on the verge of collapse.

PM Carney said, "Canada and the United States have built a wonderful partnership. In the economy, in security, and in rich cultural exchanges, but Canada isn't surviving because of the United States. Canada thrives because we are Canadian." The US President then responded to Carney's remarks by removing him from his Board of Peace.

To establish peace in the world, US President Donald Trump has started the Board of Peace. Trump sent invitations to about 60 countries of the world to join it. According to Israeli media, 25 countries out of 60 have accepted Trump's invitation. So far, Israel, Bahrain, Morocco, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Indonesia, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Pakistan, Paraguay, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Egypt, Vietnam and Mongolia have joined the Board of Peace.
