Ukraine Launches Drone Strike on Putin’s Chopper, President Survives
Moscow (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking news has come out amid the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine. According to Russian media, Ukraine attempted to attack President Vladimir Putin's helicopter with a drone in the Kursk region of Russia when he was flying in the area at midnight. However, the Russian air defense system showed alertness and shot down the Ukrainian drone, due to which the President narrowly escaped. The news of this alleged attack has created a stir internationally.
Quoting Russian officials, the news claimed that an attempt was made to target President Putin's helicopter when he was passing over the Kursk region. A senior officer of the Russian air defense division said that Ukraine had targeted the route on which Putin's helicopter was flying through a drone. He described it as a "well-planned attack attempt" which was foiled by the Russian army.
According to the report, the Russian air defense system took immediate action and destroyed the drone before it reached Putin's flight path. There are no reports of any casualties or damage to the President's convoy in this incident.
Russian security agencies are now investigating the incident thoroughly to find out how the Ukrainian drone entered a sensitive area like Kursk. They are also investigating whether this attack was a conspiracy to directly target Putin or just a strategy to create psychological pressure. However, there has been no official response from the Ukrainian government or the army on this claim yet. It is worth noting that Ukraine has previously targeted internal targets and important installations on the Russian border with drone attacks.
