US President Trump celebrates New Year party at his resort, shares New Year resolution
New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): US President Donald Trump celebrated the New Year with a grand party at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, welcoming the new year with enthusiasm. The event was attended by several prominent personalities, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor, businessman Phil Ruffin, Donald Trump Jr., Rudy Giuliani, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, Eric and Lara Trump, Emirati billionaire Hussain Sajwani, and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino.
Addressing the guests, President Trump was asked about his New Year resolution. He replied, “Peace. Peace on Earth.” However, he avoided responding to questions related to the CIA’s alleged role in Venezuela or the possibility of sending troops to Ukraine.
For the New Year celebration, President Trump and First Lady Melania Trump welcomed guests on a black carpet displaying the words “Happy New Year Mar-a-Lago” in golden letters.
Trump said, “I just want to tell you that the country is doing really well, and more investment is coming into the United States than into any country in the history of the world.”
Highlighting tariff revenues, he stated that the US has collected hundreds of millions of dollars, adding that funds were used to support the military. He said the country has returned stronger than ever and that progress is happening faster than anyone had expected.
Referring to large-scale financial irregularities, Trump claimed that officials are uncovering losses worth billions of dollars, calling it a massive scam linked to the Green New Deal, and said investigations are ongoing.
During the event, Trump invited artist Vanessa Horabuena onto the stage, praising her as one of the world’s greatest artists. A Christian hymn was played as she painted an image of Jesus Christ live on canvas.
After the painting was completed, Trump announced its auction, stating that the proceeds would benefit St. Jude and the Sheriff’s Department. The auction began at $100,000, and Trump later offered to sign the artwork to raise its value. The painting was eventually sold for $2.75 million.
