MP Anurag Thakur congratulates and gives best wishes to Yoga players Nidhi and Yashovardhan Attri

Hamirpur(The Uttam Hindu): Shri Anurag Thakur, the five-time Member of Parliament from the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency and former Union Sports Minister, congratulated and extended his best wishes to Nidhi Dogra and Yashovardhan Attri for their outstanding performance at the national and international levels in the sport of Yoga, a symbol of India's ancient culture. He said that these Yoga players are not only bringing honor to their district, state, and country, but are also introducing the present generation to the glorious culture of Yoga, which is thousands of years old.
Anurag Thakur, the five-time MP from the Hamirpur parliamentary constituency and former Union Minister, was addressing a gathering after inaugurating a state-of-the-art gymnasium for athletes at the SAI (Sports Authority of India) National Sports Excellence Center in Hamirpur. He congratulated the local athletes and their coaches who have performed exceptionally well at the national and international levels in various sports.
It is noteworthy that Hamirpur's Yoga players, Nidhi in the women's category and Yashovardhan Attri in the men's category, captained the state's Under-19 teams. Nidhi Dogra captained the state's Under-19 women's team for the third consecutive time, winning medals twice and securing an excellent fourth rank this time, thus bringing honor to the state.
Yashovardhan Attri, participating for the first time in the SGFI Games in the men's Under-19 category and leading the Himachal Pradesh team, brought glory to the state by securing the fourth rank nationwide in the individual event. This is the best performance ever achieved by any male player from Himachal Pradesh in this category and in this competition.
