Boyfriend Orders Biryani, Girlfriend Chokes on Bone While Eating — Collapses and Dies

Palghar (The Uttam Hindu): A heartbreaking incident has emerged from Maharashtra’s Palghar district, where a 27-year-old woman tragically lost her life after a piece of chicken got stuck in her throat, causing her to choke. According to information received from the police, the young woman had gone to a restaurant with her boyfriend for a meal. They had ordered biryani. While eating the biryani, a small piece of chicken got lodged in her throat. She began experiencing difficulty breathing and suddenly collapsed, unconscious.

She was immediately rushed to a hospital, but the doctors declared her dead upon examination. Reports suggest that she had already passed away before reaching the hospital. Upon receiving information about the incident, police reached the spot and registered a case. The body has been taken into custody and sent for postmortem, and further investigation is underway. The victim’s family is devastated and inconsolable.

Providing details about the incident, Police Inspector Vijaya Goswami stated that the deceased woman was 27 years old. At present, a case of accidental death has been registered. The exact cause of death will be determined after the postmortem report is received. The police are also investigating whether any negligence contributed to the incident.
