27 Airports, Including Chandigarh and Amritsar, Closed Until May 10; 430 Flights Cancelled

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): After India successfully carried out 'Operation Sindoor', about 430 civilian flights were cancelled on Thursday. This is about 3 percent of the country's total scheduled flights. Along with this, 27 airports will remain closed till May 10.
According to flight tracking data from the Flightradar24 platform, most of the airspace in the western corridor between Pakistan and India was free of civilian aircraft. According to the flight tracking portal, there was no civilian air traffic in the airspace over Pakistan and the western region of India between Jammu and Kashmir and Gujarat. This is because airlines are keeping a distance from the sensitive area.
The airports that have been kept closed include Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda, Halwara, Pathankot, Bhuntar, Shimla, Gaggal, Dharamsala, Kishangarh, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Mundra, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Porbandar, Kandla, Keshod, Bhuj, Gwalior and Hindon.
