39 Bangladeshi Nationals Detained for Illegal Residency in Haryana

Hisar (The Uttam Hindu): The police have detained 39 Bangladeshi nationals, including 14 men, 11 women and 14 children, for residing illegally in the Hansi area of Hisar district. The group was working at a brick kiln on Tosham Road without valid documentation.
Investigation Underway
According to police sources, the individuals had crossed the border from Bangladesh into India illegally. A further investigation has been launched, and security agencies are looking into the matter. The police are collecting documents related to the individuals, who will be sent to a designated detention camp in Delhi once the necessary procedures are completed.
Brick Kiln Owner's Statement
The owner of the brick kiln, where the detained individuals had arrived about a month ago, claimed that some of the families possessed Aadhaar cards issued in West Bengal. He stated that he had brought them from Rajasthan for work at the kiln and that a few other families had joined them recently.
Ongoing Drive Against Illegal Residents
The police and intelligence sources have launched a drive to identify any Pakistani or Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in the region. This comes after a 15-member family from Pakistan was sent back to the detention camp in Delhi last month, and 14 illegal Bangladeshi migrants were caught working at brick kilns in Mahendergarh with fake Aadhaar cards.
Legal Action
The police are following legal procedures in the matter, and further action will be taken once all documentation and related formalities are completed. The detained individuals are currently being held in police custody
