'A Man becomes an Animal after Drinking Alcohol', SC Reprimanded the Doctor Father who Raped his Daughter

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Man becomes an animal after drinking alcohol…these words were uttered by the Supreme Court while hearing a petition. The court refused to consider the petition of a cardiologist, in which he had demanded suspension of sentence for sexually assaulting his seven-year-old daughter.

A bench of Justice BV Nagarathna and Justice Satish Chandra Sharma said that the doctor has been convicted by the lower court and is not in favor of giving him any relief. The bench orally said, "Look, what kind of acts he has done with the child. You are not entitled to any relief. The child has given statements against your client. He is a pervert, he cannot be considered entitled to any suspension. They were drunk." The bench orally said, "You cannot do this to your daughter. Why will she testify against the father. She is a small girl, who has suffered cross-examination. A man becomes an animal after drinking alcohol. We should not say this, but we are the most liberal bench. If we are not granting bail, there are reasons behind it." Let us tell you that on March 23, 2018, the doctor took his daughter with him to Haldwani and on March 30, he called his wife and asked her to take her back. The doctor had sexually assaulted her under the influence of alcohol. The lawyer appearing on behalf of the doctor argued that the daughter's testimony was distorted.

The lawyer said that there are more than 12 lakh cases pending in the Allahabad High Court and the appeal against the convict will not be heard in the near future. In the FIR, the victim's mother had accused her husband of sexually assaulting her daughter.
