AAI Lifts Flight Ban, Civil Aircraft Operations Resume at 32 Airports

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has announced that 32 airports, which were temporarily closed for civil aircraft operations, are now open with immediate effect. The airports had been closed till 05:29 hrs of 15 May 2025 as per a previous notice issued for civil aviation safety and operational concerns.
In an official statement, AAI informed, “These Airports are now available for civil Aircraft operations with immediate effect.” The reopening comes as a relief for passengers amid heightened alert across various sectors.
Passengers are advised to check their flight status directly with their respective airlines and to monitor airline websites for real-time updates as operations resume.
The notification was issued by the Corporate Communications Directorate of the AAI.
