Administrative Reshuffle in Himachal: Many SDMs and Officers Changed, GS Negi becomes HPU Registrar
Shimla (The Uttam Hindu): Himachal Pradesh government on Sunday made a major reshuffle in the administrative structure by transferring and appointing several HAS officers. According to the notification issued by the Chief Secretary, these changes will come into effect immediately. In the reshuffle, officers from SDM to Director level have been shifted.
GS Negi, who was Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister, has been appointed as the new Registrar of Himachal Pradesh University Shimla. Secretary State Transport Authority Naresh Thakur has been appointed as Director (Personnel and Finance) in HP Power Corporation Limited Shimla. Dr. Jitendra Kumar, who was awaiting appointment, has now become the Chief Executive Officer of Himachal Khadi and Village Industries Board Shimla. Nishant Thakur, Additional Secretary (Education), has been made the Project Director of SDMF Unit of the Revenue Department. Dr. Sonia Thakur, Secretary State Information Commission, has been given the responsibility of Additional Director in the Rural Development Department. Jagarnath Thakur has been made the Managing Director of Himfed. Shashi Pal Negi has been transferred from ADC Kullu and appointed as Registrar in Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel University Mandi. Sunayana Sharma, District Tourism Officer Kullu, will now take over the post of Assistant Commissioner of Divisional Commissioner Mandi.
Major changes at SDM level too
Vikas Shukla has been transferred from Kullu and made SDM of Sujanpur (Hamirpur). Pankaj Sharma-II has been transferred from Banjar and appointed SDM of Kafota (Sirmaur). Harsh Amarendra Singh has been given the responsibility of SDM in Rampur. Nishant Tomar will now be the new SDM of Banjar (Kullu). Sankalp Gautam has been appointed SDM in Baijnath (Mandi). Devi Chand has been sent to the post of Assistant Commissioner (ADC) in Shimla Deputy Commissioner's office. Alisha Chauhan has been appointed SDM in Udaipur (Lahaul-Spiti).
Other major transfers and responsibilities
Ram Prasad has become the additional commissioner of Hamirpur Municipal Corporation. Chetna Khadwal has been given the responsibility of Secretary, State Information Commission. Manoj Kumar-III has been appointed Joint Commissioner of Una Municipal Corporation. Dr. Sanjay Bhagwati has been appointed Joint Director of Urban Development Department. Sanjeev Kumar-III, who was made SDM in Bharmour, will now be Deputy Secretary in the Chief Minister's Office. Jagdish Sharma has been appointed to the post of Tourism Development Officer in Shimla. Pradeep Kumar has been appointed Assistant Settlement Officer in Dharamshala (Kangra). Sanjay Kumar has got the charge of Assistant Settlement Officer in Shimla. Dr. Bhavna has been made Additional Director in Minority and Disabled Empowerment Department, Shimla.
Dr. Harish Gajju gets third responsibility
Dr. Harish Gajju, Additional Secretary to the Chief Minister has now been given another important responsibility. He has been given additional charge of Managing Director of HP Agriculture and Rural Development Bank, Shimla. He is already working as Additional Director in the Industries Department and Controller of the Stock Control Department. The government has given instructions to implement this order with immediate effect in public interest and it will remain effective till further orders.
