Ayodhya Witnesses Grand Pran Pratishtha of Ram Darbar as Vedic Chants Fill the Air on Ganga Dussehra

Ayodhya (The Uttam Hindu) – A beautiful new chapter has unfolded in the rich spiritual and cultural tapestry of Ayodhya. On Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath dedicated the grand idol of King Ram at the stunning Ram Mandir. The air was filled with the resonant sounds of Vedic chants, creating a truly spiritual ambiance, complemented by the conch shells and the voices of revered acharyas and saints. From this moment on, devotees will not only have the chance to see Ram Lalla but also to experience the grandeur of his royal court.
In celebration of Ganga Dussehra, a magnificent pran pratishtha (idol consecration) ceremony took place in the newly built temples, including Shri Ram Darbar, all set to the sacred sounds of Abhijit Muhurat, Vedic mantras, and Vedghosh (chanting of the Vedas). This event marked the culmination of a three-day ritual, held in the presence of CM Yogi Adityanath, beautifully merging ancient Vedic traditions with modern technology in a harmonious blend.
The festivities wrapped up with a heartfelt Aarti and a Bhandara (community feast). The rituals kicked off on Wednesday morning at 6:30 AM with the worship of the deities in the Yagyamandap. After two hours of devotion, a Havan commenced at 9 AM, lasting about an hour. Thanks to advanced visual and audio systems, the sacred pran pratishtha rituals were carried out simultaneously across all the newly constructed temples.
As part of the ceremony, life was ceremonially breathed into the idols placed throughout the temple grounds. This included:
- Shri Ram Darbar
- Sheshavatar
- The Shiva temple located in the northeast (Ishan) corner of the temple walls (Parikota)
- Lord Ganesha in the southeast (Agni) corner
- Lord Hanuman in the southern arm
- The Sun God in the southwest (Nairitya) corner
- Goddess Bhagwati in the northwest (Vayavya) corner
- Goddess Annapurna in the northern arm
The entire temple complex was integrated through visual mediums (cameras and screens), enabling simultaneous chanting and pran pratishtha in all temples with unified coordination.
The ceremony was attended by a large number of saints, Vedic scholars, officials of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, and numerous devotees.
The Ram Darbar, to be installed on the first floor of the Ram Mandir, will not only hold immense religious significance but will also stand as an unmatched example of architectural brilliance. It is being constructed using exquisite marble stone.
