Patna (The Uttam Hindu): Nitish kumar has announced a significant increase in the social security pension scheme ahead of the Bihar general assembly election. The monthly pension of the elderly, disabled and widowed women has been raised from ₹400 to ₹1,100 and is set to benefit approximately 1 crore 9 lakh 69 thousand 255 beneficiaries from July onwards.
