Bomb Threat Targets Haryana Secretariat and CM’s Residence; Security Tightened

Chandigarh (The Uttam Hindu): Haryana Secretariat and CM house has recieved bomb threat after which CISF, Haryana Police, Chandigarh Police and CID have been alerted in the secretariat. Investigation is being done by the police in Haryana Secretariat, bomb and dog squads have reached the spot. The entire secretariat has been evacuated. However, on Friday, due to Guru Arjan Dev Jayanti, the government employees had a holiday in the secretariat, while there is a holiday in Punjab Secretariat.

The bomb threat was received through an email on Friday. It is written in this email that Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini's house and the secretariat office in Chandigarh will be blown up with a bomb. As soon as this information was received, the investigative agencies were alerted and the campus was evacuated immediately. At the same time, the police is investigating this threat.
