Jalandhar (The Uttam Hindu): The tense situation between India and Pakistan continues. Pakistan is carrying out drone attacks while India is giving a befitting reply. Necessary steps are being taken for the safety of people in all the districts of Punjab.

- In view of the increasing tension on the border, the district administration has completely closed Batala. On this occasion, the administration of Gurdaspur district has issued a red alert in Batala and has ordered a complete shutdown of Batala and has also asked people not to come out of their homes. Only medical shops are open and hooter is sounding continuously.

-Today a drone was found near village Sikri on Hoshiarpur-Tanda road. Police administration and army personnel have reached the spot and started investigation.

-Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains tweeted that in view of the current situation, all universities and colleges across the state have been instructed to ensure the safety of students. If a student is unable or unwilling to do so due to security, transportation or personal reasons, he or she will not be forced to leave the campus.

-DC Amritsar issued a letter to the people saying, thank you for your cooperation, the green signal has been given. You can continue your normal activities.

-Fazilka administration has issued an alert in the city. Fazilka police is making shopkeepers and people aware in the city markets that they should stay in their homes and those who are in their shops should stay inside and keep their goods and till further orders, no person should be seen on the streets without any essential work. People should not panic and should remain alert.

-A drone-like object fell near the village stadium in Mall Singh Wala village of Budhlada block at around 2 am in the night, causing a loud explosion and flames started rising.
