New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The Pakistani army has again violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control. This is the seventh consecutive day when the Pakistani army has fired on the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army has responded to this firing without any delay.

The Pakistani army has been firing on the Line of Control every day since last Friday. According to the army, on the night of 30 April and 01 May, Pakistani army posts fired across the Line of Control in Kupwara, Uri and Akhnoor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Like every day, this firing was done without any provocation.

The Pakistani army has fired this bullet with small arms. The Indian army also gave a befitting reply to this. Earlier, the Pakistani army had violated the ceasefire on the Line of Control and fired at Indian areas from across the Line of Control on the night of 29-30 April.

According to the Indian Army, on the night of 29-30 April, Pakistani Army posts opened fire across the Line of Control in Naushera, Sunderbani and Akhnoor sectors of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Pakistani Army has started firing across the Line of Control since the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April. Here Pakistani terrorists brutally killed 26 innocent people. 25 of them were tourists.

Before the Pahalgam attack, Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir had made an inflammatory and anti-India statement. This statement is in the headlines and is being linked to the attack in Baisaran Valley.

Munir had made provocative remarks against India while addressing a conference of expatriate Pakistanis in Islamabad on April 16. Two days later, on April 18, a Lashkar-e-Taiba leader gave a venomous anti-India speech in Khaigala, Rawalakot in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK), threatening to take revenge for the killing of two terrorists by the Indian Army. It was after this rhetoric that the name of Lashkar's 'The Resistance Front' (TRF) came into the limelight.

According to defence experts, TRF is another name for Lashkar-e-Taiba, which works under the protection of Pakistan's military-intelligence agency ISI. This attack was not an isolated incident but a well-planned conspiracy to spread fear and instability in India.
