New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Mild earthquake tremors were felt in Delhi and surrounding areas on Saturday. According to the National Center for Seismology (NCS), the magnitude of the earthquake was measured at 3.7 on the Richter scale, with the epicenter located in Jhajjar, Haryana.

The tremors prompted residents in several parts of the capital to rush out of their homes in panic. Fortunately, no reports of damage or injuries have been received so far. It’s important to note that Delhi and the National Capital Region (NCR) lie in Seismic Zone IV, making it highly vulnerable to earthquakes. The region has several active fault lines, which increases the risk of seismic activity.

This comes just days after a similar incident on July 10, when strong tremors were felt across Delhi-NCR. That quake had its epicenter near Gurwara in Haryana’s Rewari district. Authorities continue to monitor the seismic activity and have urged residents to remain calm and follow safety protocols.
