New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): Protests have turned violent in the US following a recent deportation campaign by the Federal Immigration authorities. The campaign, which targeted individuals living in the country illegally, has sparked widespread outrage and demonstrations.

Incident Involving Indian Student

A disturbing video has emerged showing an Indian student being handcuffed and thrown to the ground by police officers at Newark Airport in New Jersey. The student, who was reportedly crying and pleading, was subjected to forceful restraint by at least four officers.

Witness Account

Kunal Jain, an Indian man who witnessed the incident and recorded the video, expressed his outrage on social media. "I saw a young Indian student being deported from Newark Airport last night. Handcuffed, crying, treated like a criminal. He came to chase dreams, not to cause harm. As an NRI, I felt helpless and sad. This is a human tragedy."

Appeal for Investigation

Jain has appealed to the Indian Embassy in the US to investigate the matter and provide assistance to the student. The student, who was speaking in Haryanvi, was reportedly saying, "I am not mad, these people are trying to prove me mad."

Protests Continue

The incident has sparked widespread outrage, with protests continuing against the deportation campaign. Demonstrators are demanding an end to the aggressive tactics employed by immigration authorities and greater protection for individuals living in the US without documentation.
