Mumbai (The Uttam Hindu): A shocking incident has come to light from Jalgaon, Maharashtra, where the pilot refused to fly the plane of Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde saying that his duty time was over. Due to this incident, Shinde's plane was delayed in taking off, but this delay unexpectedly benefited a female patient and her life was saved.

Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had reached Jalgaon from Mumbai in the evening. He had to return from Jalgaon to Mumbai at night. But just before the flight, the pilot refused to fly and said that his duty time was over. After this, Minister Girish Mahajan, Gulabrao Patil, District Collector and Aviation Authority officials started trying to convince the pilots.

There was a closed door meeting between the pilots and Eknath Shinde at the airport along with ministers Girish Mahajan and Gulabrao Patil. During all this, Shinde had to wait for 20 minutes for the plane to take off. However, when the pilot was finally convinced, Shinde was able to fly from Jalgaon to Mumbai.

This delay in Shinde's flight unexpectedly benefited a female patient who needed a kidney transplant. Actually, this female patient named Sheetal Borde had missed her regular flight from Jalgaon to Mumbai. Due to the delay in Shinde's flight, Minister of State Girish Mahajan talked to Shinde, after which Shinde arranged to send the female patient to Mumbai in his chartered plane.

Shinde is being highly praised for this initiative that he saved the life of a woman and being a responsible leader, he took the woman to Mumbai in his plane, so that she could get timely treatment.
