10-Year Romance Ends in Murder: 33-Year-Old Woman Strangled in Hotel Over Religious Differences

Faridabad (The Uttam Hindu): A 10-year relationship turned deadly in Faridabad when a 33-year-old woman was found strangled in a hotel room. The accused, Deepak, has confessed to the crime, citing religious differences and marriage pressure as the motive.
According to police, the incident occurred on July 24 at a hotel in IP Colony under Sector-31 police station. The victim, Shibba, had told her family she was heading to work but never returned. Her body was discovered the next day by hotel staff.
Security footage revealed that Shibba had checked in with Deepak, a resident of the same neighborhood in Delhi. Deepak was arrested from Nizamuddin area after police tracked his location through his mobile phone.
During interrogation, Deepak claimed that Shibba's pressure to marry and their religious differences led him to commit the crime. Shibba's mother, Razia, has filed a formal complaint alleging that Deepak lured her daughter to the hotel and killed her.
Shibba's uncle, Riyazuddin, shared that she had chosen not to marry to care for her widowed mother. Police are now investigating the final details of the murder.
