Feud turns fatal: Classmates shoot 11th-grade student over 2-month-old rivalry, father's licensed pistol used

Gurugram (The Uttam Hindu): A horrifying incident has come to light from Gurugram, Haryana's Millennium City. Two minor students shot their classmate late Saturday night in Sector 48. The incident has sent shockwaves throughout the area. The victim remains in critical condition and has been admitted to Medanta Hospital.
According to the police, this incident stems from a long-standing rivalry. About two months ago, the victim and the accused students had an argument over something. To avenge this, one of the accused lured the victim, a student in grade 11, to Kherki Daula toll on Saturday evening under the pretense of meeting him. From there, he took him to his rented house in Sector 48, where another accomplice was already present.
It is reported that the three men shared a meal and drinks, after which the accused student took out his father's licensed pistol and shot the victim. The sound of the gunshot caused a commotion.
Upon receiving the information, a police team arrived at the scene and called in a forensic team to collect evidence. Police recovered a pistol, two magazines, 70 live cartridges, and one empty shell from the scene. The pistol belonged to the father of one of the accused, a property dealer, and was kept at home.
Acting on a complaint from the mother of the injured student, the police immediately arrested both minor accused within hours of the incident. A case has been registered against them under relevant sections of the IPC.
