Haryana to Launch Lado Lakshmi Yojana: Women to Get ₹2,100 Monthly from November 1

Chandigarh/New Delhi(The Uttam Hindu): Haryana government will roll out the Lado Lakshmi Yojana from November 1, under which eligible women will receive ₹2,100 every month directly in their accounts. Cabinet Minister Krishan Bedi confirmed that the scheme will be officially launched across the state on September 25 by the Chief Minister, state ministers, and Union ministers.
Women without smartphones can also register through a shared device, with one phone enabling registrations for up to 25 women. The state will spend nearly ₹4,062 crore annually on this initiative.
The scheme is expected to benefit around 18–20 lakh women in the first phase, including married women aged 23–60 and unmarried women aged 23–45 who meet income and domicile conditions.
Key eligibility conditions include:
Age group: 23–60 years for married women; 23–45 years for unmarried women.
Annual family income limit: ₹1 lakh.
Residency: Applicant or spouse must be a resident of Haryana for at least 15 years.
A trial run of the scheme will begin on September 25. The government says this move aims to empower women, reduce dependence on male family members, and encourage self-reliance through financial support and entrepreneurship opportunities.
