New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Delhi is set to witness high temperature in next coming days. The temperatures are expected tor reach upto 44 degrees celsius with mostly sunny skies and no rain. It is expected that today the temperature may soar upto 39-41 degrees.

The heatwave is expected to continue until June 12, after which the southwest monsoon may bring relief to the region. Residents are advised to limit outdoor activity due to potential health effects. The air quality in Delhi is currently "unhealthy," with sensitive groups likely to experience immediate health effects. Healthy individuals may also face difficulty breathing and throat irritation with prolonged exposure.
