New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): India has retaliated for the Pahalgam attack with air strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The Indian Army successfully carried out "Operation Sindoor" on nine terrorist hideouts. India fired 24 missiles at Pakistan. Over 100 terrorists were killed in this airstrike. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been continuously monitoring the entire military operation.

Exactly 15 days after the attack, India gave a strong response to Pakistan. The headquarters of the groups responsible for the attack, Jaish and Lashkar, were destroyed. The Indian government confirmed that all nine targets were successfully hit, and no Pakistani civilians or military infrastructure were harmed.

This strike was part of India’s response to the terrorist attack that took place on April 22, in which 25 Indians and one Nepali citizen lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir. The operation was a calculated move by India to ensure that those responsible for the attack were held accountable, while exercising restraint to avoid escalation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi closely monitored the progress of the operation throughout the night alongside senior officials. Sources confirmed that the Prime Minister remained in constant contact with national security advisors and military commanders to ensure the mission proceeded according to plan. His active involvement highlighted the mission’s significance and the government’s commitment to taking action against terrorism.

A spokesperson for the Indian Army confirmed that the strikes were focused and measured. The targets, identified as known terrorist camps and infrastructure, were located in Pakistan and PoK. The army emphasized that no damage was caused to any Pakistani civilian, military, or economic infrastructure, reflecting India’s commitment to targeted anti-terrorism efforts.

The Army spokesperson stated, “Our action was focused and precise. We targeted only those terrorist camps from where attacks against India were planned and executed.” He added, “Justice has been served.”
