New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): The country's leading airlines Indigo and Air India have issued travel advisory for Delhi passengers on Tuesday. In this, the airlines have advised the passengers to check the status of their flights before leaving home due to rain.

In a post on social media platform 'X' by IndiGo, it was said that due to rain in Delhi, traffic often slows down. Therefore, if you are departing towards the airport, we advise you to leave home only after checking the flight status on our app and website. The post further said that our teams are working 24 hours to ensure stable operations.

Air India had said in its post on the social media platform 'X' that due to bad weather in Delhi, our flight operations are being affected and some flights are being diverted. Please check your flight status before going to the airport. Earlier in another post, Air India had issued a similar advisory for Mumbai. Earlier, IndiGo had announced new flights to connect various cities of Assam with different parts of the country.

The company said that a new flight will start on the Delhi-Jorhat route on September 20. On the same day, daily morning service will be started on the Guwahati-Silchar and Guwahati-Dibrugarh routes. At the same time, Guwahati-Navi Mumbai flight will be started in the winter schedule 2025.

According to DGCA data, IndiGo is the country's largest airline based on passenger market share. Indigo's passenger market share was 64.1 percent in April. Air India Group came second with a market share of 27.2 percent. SpiceJet's market share was 2.6 percent.
