Jaishankar’s First-Ever Talk with Afghan Foreign Minister Marks Shift in India-Taliban Ties

New Delhi (The Uttam Hindu): External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar spoke to Afghanistan's Acting Foreign Minister Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi and appreciated him for condemning the terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 that killed 26 innocent civilians. Besides, Jaishankar also spoke on the recent allegations of Pakistan carrying out missile attacks on Afghan territory which has created mistrust between India and Afghanistan through false and baseless reports.

Jaishankar has said in a post on the internet media that today we had a very good conversation with Afghanistan's acting foreign minister Muttaki. He has condemned the Pahalgam attack, which we appreciate. We also welcome the way he has rejected the recent attempts to spread mistrust between India and Afghanistan.
